Although a good price with friendly staff we had various issues over our 3 booked rooms. One had no soap but only realised when undressed so too late to ask as she was in her own. Ours had a really bad spring in the bed (room 26) and a bad smell in the bathroom. The other had virtually no tea or coffee supplied, again too late to ask once in pj’s at midnight. Just be nice if every room had the same supplies so you didn’t have to moan to anyone and the mattress should defo be replaced!

We came up for the Saint Patrick’s day. We arrived on the Saturday, check in was fast. Our room was on the top floor, which we found to be nice and quiet. All the staff were very friendly and made us welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Jane looked after us mostly during our stay, and I must speak as I find, she was very pleasant and helped with anything we needed. All the girls are lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the DJ Saturday night, great music which took me back to my clubbing days We have booked for next year already. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, I did read other reviews before booking, I did see some negative comments on the cleanliness, but I have to say ours was fine. Although there is no cooked food on the weekend except Sunday breakfast , there is always fresh cobs to eat, the town centre is close by so there is plenty of choice to go out for a meal. We had a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning, and we enjoyed it. We will be back again, thank you to all the Moseley Arms staff, we had a lovely time, the atmosphere was great which made our night a great one.

It's always great to hear of Birmingham historic pubs making innovative improvements to recapture an emerging new market for tourists and people from all over the country being attracted to once grubby downtrodden and neglected neighbourhoods of the inner city. However, this is not one of them! This isolated tavern is far off the beaten track located somewhere in a back street of Digbeth. Even taxi drivers want to avoid going there and instead offer you alternative accommodation suggestions nearer the city centre. Enter to be completely underwhelmed. A plate of wrapped ham and cheese cops on the counter is the captivating menu for the day. The bar is abruptly closed at 10.30 pm by the bored looking barmaid holding fort alone. If you stay over its cheap and basic, but without breakfast. its a time warp stuck in 1986. Come on Mosely Arms, its time to wake up and smell the coffee, before business comes to a standstill, and yet another grand old Victorian lady landmark is demolished by Birmingham's ruthless 'modernisation' redevelopers.

Good points: Good location not too far from Bullring/O2 Institute, still quiet, free parking. We were allocated a ground-floor room. Very friendly staff. Smoking area. Very clean. Wi-Fi worked well. A few niggles: Mattress on one bed was a bit hard. No food option at the times we stayed, and no breakfast options, like a cafe, nearby.

Booked to stay for one night with husband, walked in and straight back out again, Horrible room, tatty, nasty smell in bathroom, noise from surrounding rooms was awful, furniture looked like it had come off the tip, heater didn’t work Honestly don’t know how they can charge £90 per night!!!! I wouldn’t pay £20. The only thing I can say as a positive is it was fairly clean, it just didn’t look it because of how shabby the room was. Very disappointed,
